The New York Jets waived three players with injuries Sunday, clearing roster space as the team continues to evaluate its depth ahead of final cuts.

Wide receiver Caullin Lacy, running back Sam Scott and edge rusher Nate Voorhis were all waived/injured, according to the team’s announcement. The moves reflect the ongoing process of managing injuries and refining the 53-man roster during the final stages of the preseason.

Lacy, signed as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville after the 2026 NFL Draft, had shown promise as a return specialist. In 2025, he led the ACC in punt return yardage with 454 yards and two touchdowns while also catching 60 passes for 635 yards and adding 53 rushing yards. The 5-foot-9, 183-pound receiver previously starred at South Alabama, where he posted a 1,316-yard receiving season in 2023.

Scott, a 6-foot-2, 227-pound running back from Wyoming, joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent. He never exceeded 100 carries or 12 receptions in any single college season and also saw snaps at linebacker early in his career. His size and potential special teams contributions as a gunner were viewed as possible pathways to a roster or practice squad spot before the injury designation.

Voorhis, a 6-foot-2, 251-pound edge defender from Ball State, arrived as a priority undrafted free agent. In 2025, he recorded 51 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 12 sacks, earning first-team All-MAC honors. The Pennsylvania native, who grew up a Jets fan, showed a high motor and strong get-off that made him an intriguing developmental prospect on the defensive line.

In corresponding moves, the Jets signed edge rusher Anthony Dunn, running back Dominic Richardson and safety Tanner Wall to bolster those position groups.

Dunn, a 6-foot-4, 262-pound defensive end out of Toledo, previously spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs after signing as an undrafted free agent. The Chiefs waived him earlier this month. Over two seasons with the Rockets, he tallied 57 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and six sacks in 25 games. He earlier earned first-team All-SWAC honors at Florida A&M in 2023 with eight sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss.

Richardson, a 6-foot, 204-pound running back, brings a physical downhill style after brief stops with the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans. At Tulsa in 2025, he rushed for 1,065 yards and five touchdowns on 212 carries, averaging 5.0 yards per attempt, while adding 20 receptions for 130 yards.

His college career totals across Oklahoma State, Baylor and Tulsa include 2,832 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns on 640 carries, plus 72 receptions for 587 yards.

Wall, a 6-foot-1, 196-pound safety from BYU, previously signed with the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins before being waived by both. In 2025, he recorded 71 tackles and four interceptions, earning first-team All-Big 12 recognition. Over his final two seasons as a starter, Wall amassed 124 tackles and seven interceptions in 37 starts.

A former walk-on who transitioned from wide receiver, he also contributed on special teams and earned academic All-American honors.

These transactions allow the Jets to add competition and depth while addressing injured players. Richardson’s production, including 1,195 scrimmage yards in 2025, offers a workhorse option in the backfield. Dunn’s length and prior sack totals provide additional edge depth. Wall’s ball skills and coverage reliability, highlighted by an 87.5 coverage grade in limited targets during his senior year, strengthen secondary options.

The Jets will continue assessing the new arrivals in practice and any remaining preseason games as roster decisions approach.
