The Dallas Cowboys could use another pass rusher as they head into the 2026 NFL campaign, and Alex Kennedy of Pro Football Network has named them a top destination for one of the top ones available: former Philadelphia Eagles star Haason Reddick.
Reddick’s career has taken him across the league at a rapid clip. Over the past six seasons, he has suited up for five different teams, a path that has earned him the label of pass-rushing mercenary.
His peak arrived in Philadelphia, where he delivered back-to-back Pro Bowl campaigns. In 2022, he exploded for 16 sacks and a league-leading five forced fumbles while helping the Eagles reach the Super Bowl. He also earned a Second-Team All-Pro selection that season.
The following year, he remained a consistent threat, recording 11 sacks and 38 tackles across 17 games. Those performances established him as one of the more disruptive front-seven players in the NFC.
The years that followed proved far less productive. After a contract dispute with the Eagles led to a trade to the New York Jets, Reddick managed just one sack in ten games during the 2024 season.
Last year in Tampa Bay, he appeared in 13 contests and finished with 2.5 sacks and 31 tackles. While those numbers fall well short of his earlier standards, they still reflect a player capable of contributing rotational pressure and veteran experience.
For the Cowboys, the interest makes sense on paper. Dallas watched its defense struggle through the 2025 campaign and is searching for ways to close the gap on a Philadelphia team that has claimed the NFC East the past two seasons.
Adding a known commodity like Reddick on a short-term, affordable deal could provide depth opposite the team’s existing edge talent without locking the franchise into a long-term commitment.
Whether the Cowboys ultimately pursue him remains unclear. Reddick is no longer the every-down force who terrorized quarterbacks in his Eagles prime, yet he retains the burst and technique that once made him a Pro Bowl regular.
In a league that constantly seeks proven pass-rush depth, especially for contenders looking to make a quick impact, his name continues to surface.
As training camp and teams evaluate their front-seven needs, the former Eagle stands as one of the more intriguing remaining options for clubs hoping a change of scenery can spark a late-career resurgence.
Considering Dallas traded away Micah Parsons last August and just lost Jadeveon Clowney to free agency, it may want to take a chance on Reddick.
