According to NBA insider Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times, the Atlanta Hawks wanted Immanuel Quickley and a first-round pick from the New York Knicks for Dejounte Murray.
Trade talks between the Hawks and Knicks didn’t go far and New York wound up trading Quickley and RJ Barrett to the Toronto Raptors for OG Anunoby.
“NBA insiders said the Hawks, in their discussions with the Knicks, talked about a Dejounte Murray trade with Atlanta seeking Immanuel Quickley and a first-round pick,” Woike wrote.
The Hawks are expected to trade Murray before the NBA trade deadline in February. The Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Raptors, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons are interested in acquiring Murray.
