Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh says that tight end Mark Andrews is “up in the air” for the team’s Divisional Round playoff matchup with the Houston Texans this Saturday, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

The Ravens activated Andrews from the injured reserve list late last week. The star pass-catcher had been nursing an ankle injury he suffered during Baltimore’s Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

When Andrews was first injured, the prevailing thought was that he would not only be lost for the remainder of the regular season, but that he probably would not play in the playoffs, either.

However, the 28-year-old has apparently made remarkable progress and was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. It seems like he could very well take the field this weekend.

In the 10 games he played this season, Andrews caught 45 passes for 544 yards and six touchdowns.

Andrews, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oklahoma, was selected by the Ravens in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He entered the league the same year as Lamar Jackson, who ended up taking over as the starting quarterback midway through his rookie campaign. Andrews instantly became Jackson’s favorite target and has been his go-to-guy in the aerial attack ever since.

Andrews has made three trips to the Pro Bowl, with his best season coming in 2021 when he hauled in 107 receptions for 1,361 yards and nine scores. He also earned a First-Team All-Pro selection for his efforts.

Last year, the Scottsdale, Az. native snared 73 balls for 847 yards while reaching the end zone five times.

Baltimore went 13-4 this year, good for the best record in the NFL. The Ravens earned a first-round bye as a result.

We’ll see if they get Mark Andrews back against the Texans.
