Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made strides towards clearing his name this week by meeting with the police.
The meeting, held at the Dallas Police Department’s headquarters, was confirmed by Prescott’s agent, Levi McCathern, as reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The accusations of sexual assault against Prescott date back to a 2017 incident, yet McCathern has vehemently refuted these claims, asserting their falsity. In light of this, Prescott has shown a strong willingness to engage fully with law enforcement in their inquiries.
“We reported their criminal behavior to the Prosper Police Department and have been fully cooperative with them. When Ms. Shores doubled down on her false claim of sexual assault and reported it to the Dallas Police Department, we proactively reached out to cooperate with them as well. Dak has nothing to hide. He did nothing wrong.”
Adding another layer to the legal saga, Prescott initiated legal action in March against Victoria Shores, alleging an attempted extortion of $100 million orchestrated by Shores and her legal representatives.
“She is trying to get $100 million from me to ‘not report’ a rape case I obviously did not do,” Dak Prescott said.
Despite ongoing investigations, the Dallas police have confirmed that their inquiry into the Cowboys’ star case remains active, underscoring the complexity and gravity of the situation.
We will make sure to share updates about this situation as more information continues to be released.
