Stephen Curry has not shot the ball well in his last two games, but Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr isn’t worried.

After the Warriors lost to the Miami Heat last night, Kerr issued a strong statement on Curry.

“It wasn’t his night,” Kerr said about Curry. “This is all part of an 82-game season where guys are gonna have some tough nights, some tough stretches. I’m not worried about Steph, that’s for sure.”

Curry is averaging 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists over his last two games against the Denver Nuggets and Heat. He’s shooting just 27.8% from the field, 23.8% from beyond the arc and 85.7% from the free-throw line.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors Updates

The Warriors are only 15-16 on the season. They are in 11th place in the Western Conference standings and don’t look like a playoff team right now.

Curry is averaging 27.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists on the season for the Warriors while shooting 45.8% overall, 41.0% from 3 and 93.0% from the foul line. Odds are the two-time MVP will snap out of his shooting slump sooner rather than later.

However, there’s no guarantee that the Warriors will get it together and go on a run. Curry is the only player on the team averaging at least 20.0 points per game. The Warriors are ninth in the NBA in scoring and 19th in defense. They have a net rating of +0.8, which is good for 15th in the league.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors Updates

Most league observers believe the Warriors need to make a trade. Only time will tell if Golden State’s front office decides to shake up the roster.
