The Los Angeles Lakers are 1-4 over their last five games. The team has looked lethargic on both ends of the floor since winning the NBA In-Season Tournament and Anthony Davis isn’t happy.

After the Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls to drop to 15-13 on the season, Davis talked about the team’s struggles.

“There’s no break coming,” Davis said. “No help coming. There’s no cavalry. We’ve got to do it within this locker room. We’ve got everyone back now. We just got to find a way to get into the win column.”

The Lakers are 17th in the NBA in points per game and 15th in points per game allowed. They don’t look like a title contender at all right now despite Davis and LeBron James putting up elite numbers.

“Some nights we shoot it well, some nights we don’t,” Davis said. “We just got to get back to having fun and playing for each other and playing together. Keep competing and stay the course. Obviously, it sucks to be in the losing column. We all hate losing. But we have to find a way to get back in the winning column and go from there.”

The Lakers are in eighth place in the Western Conference standings. Davis is averaging 24.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 blocks on the season while shooting 54.6% from the field and 81.1% from the free-throw line.

The Lakers’ upcoming schedule is brutal. They face the Minnesota Timberwolves (twice), Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics.

“It’s going to make us play,” Davis said of the upcoming three-game slate. “We’re going to have to, or they’re going to beat us pretty badly.”
