Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen Denies Throwing Shade At Stefon Diggs

The split between Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs wasn’t pleasant, as the Buffalo Bills traded the wide receiver to the Houston Texans during the offseason amid speculation that Allen and Diggs were at odds.

That means everything Allen says that could potentially be traced back to Diggs is going to garner attention, and he learned that the hard way this week.

After the Bills’ blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night, Allen said that it was nice to have a bunch of receivers who don’t care about stats.

Naturally, many assumed that Allen was taking a shot at his former No. 1 pass-catcher, but the star quarterback has ensured that Diggs was not the target of his statement.

“I love 14. I still do. But everyone wants to keep making this thing a thing,” Allen said, via Matt Parrino of Syracuse.com. “We’re so focused on what’s going on inside our building, and that’s the only thing that we care about right now.”

Allen and Diggs spent four seasons together in Buffalo, with Diggs making the Pro Bowl each year. However, last season, Diggs faded during the second half, resulting in many wondering if there was some sort of disconnect between the quarterback-receiver duo.

Diggs then made some cryptic comments on social media throughout the offseason (as he often does) and was traded soon after.

Allen doesn’t seem to miss Diggs thus far in 2024, as he has thrown for 634 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions while completing 75 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 133.7. He has also rushed for 85 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Most importantly, the Buffalo Bills are 3-0.

Josh Allen and the Bills will face Stefon Diggs and the Texans in Houston on Oct. 6.
