CeeDee Lamb doubled down Thursday on a sideline declaration from Monday night’s victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, insisting no defender in the NFL can cover him as the Dallas Cowboys prepare for a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Lamb caught five passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns in Dallas’ 38-21 win at Lincoln Financial Field. During the game, he told nearby defenders, “You can’t move. You can’t touch—like, nobody in this world, on this planet that live on the planet that we live on, they cannot stick in front of me. I said it to the world, nobody did it yet. And now I say it again. Can’t guard me.”
Asked about the clip at The Star, Lamb pointed to his versatility across the formation.
“I think my ability to line up anywhere in the offense and run any route on the route tree. I feel like I can beat anybody in front of me. I’m gonna stand on that,” he said.
Through seven games, Lamb has 53 receptions for 651 yards and six touchdowns. Those totals rank second in the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns. He has drawn a league-high 81 targets, averaging 11.6 per game and 93 yards per contest.
The Cowboys sit at 3-4 after the Monday night result. Lamb said the offense creates problems once it finds rhythm.
“It’s almost like it is inevitable because regardless what coverage you put on it, there is nothing blanketing it. You have an option, you have an answer for every coverage. I feel like in that realm, as an offensive player, you like it because it is like the mercy is in your court,” he said.
Sunday’s game at AT&T Stadium against the 2-5 Cardinals arrives with historical context for Lamb. He is 0-4 against Arizona in his career, totaling 21 catches for 253 yards and zero touchdowns in those meetings. Dallas has lost the last four regular-season games against the Cardinals.
Lamb attributed past results to preparation gaps.
“We’ve been very relaxed and they’ve punched us in the mouth every single time,” he said.
The Cardinals allow 29.7 points per game, the highest figure in the NFL. They have surrendered 208 points through seven contests. Dallas ranks fifth in scoring at 27.0 points per game.
Lamb’s production has remained steady despite the team’s record. He has two multi-touchdown games this season after recording none in 2025. His 81 targets through seven games mark the highest total in Cowboys franchise history at that point in a season.
The Cardinals enter the game with the NFL’s worst scoring defense, while Dallas looks to build on its first win streak of any length in more than a year. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
Lamb has averaged more than 90 receiving yards per game this season and leads the league in targets. He ranks among the top wide receivers in several advanced metrics, including yards after catch and route-running efficiency.
The Cowboys have not beaten Arizona since 2017. Lamb has been on the roster for every loss in that stretch since his 2020 rookie season.
Dallas’ offense has scored in bunches at times but has lacked consistency. Lamb said the unit’s scheme provides answers against every coverage type when executed properly.
Arizona has shown high energy in recent meetings with the Cowboys, regardless of game time or location. Lamb noted that the Cardinals have treated the matchup with elevated intensity.
The Week 8 game offers Lamb a chance to end his personal winless streak against the Cardinals while the Cowboys seek consecutive victories under coach Brian Schottenheimer.
