Stephen Curry dazzled with a 52-point performance, including 12 three-pointers, as the Golden State Warriors overcame the Memphis Grizzlies 134-125 on Tuesday night.
This emphatic victory not only avenged their last encounter, where the Warriors suffered a 51-point defeat and Curry went without a field goal, but it also propelled them past Memphis into fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
Stephen Curry Delivers 51-Point Masterclass

Curry appeared unfazed by the previous matchup, focusing instead on the importance of this game.
“I had actually forgotten,” Curry said when asked if the previous game was a motivator. “I was just kind of more focused on how big this game was for us.”
His explosive start set the tone early, with Curry making his first five shots, four of which were from long range. By halftime, he had amassed 32 points, shooting 11 of 16 from the field and 8 of 10 from beyond the arc.
“The week off helped. The tank is pretty full,” Curry remarked, reflecting on his recent time off to recover from a left pelvic contusion. He added that the break had rejuvenated him physically and mentally, aiding his spectacular return to form.
In addition to his scoring feats, Curry achieved a personal milestone by surpassing Jerry West to move into 25th place on the all-time NBA scoring list.
“I got a little emotional about that,” Curry said of the achievement. “It was special. In his memory. What he meant to our organization, the league, to the world of basketball. … That’s the logo.”
Golden State Warriors Praise Stephen Curry’s Performance

Warriors coach Steve Kerr praised Curry’s performance, describing it as “incredible.” Kerr highlighted one particular shot in the second quarter.
“Fifty-two points with people draped all over him, all game long. I’ve been watching this for 11 years, and actually longer before I became his coach. … You get a real sense of just the magnitude of his talent. The guy is amazing to watch.”
However, Draymond Green, Curry’s teammate of 15 years, provided a more grounded perspective.
“Hell, no. No chance,” Green responded when asked if this was Curry’s best game. “I’ve played with him for 15 years. I can’t quite recall the best one off the top of my head, but that ain’t it.”
With this win, the Warriors claim a critical position in the playoff race and secure the season series against the Grizzlies, enhancing their standing with just a few weeks left in the regular season.
