This White House visit holds particular weight for the Eagles organization. Seven years ago, after their previous Super Bowl triumph, the team skipped the traditional celebration when Trump withdrew their invitation. The decision came after reports surfaced that only a handful of players intended to attend, amid a broader controversy surrounding player protests against racial inequality during the national anthem. While the team is savoring the achievement, Sirianni made it clear that their focus is shifting toward the future.
“We’re to a point now where the celebration is over,” he noted, outlining the Eagles’ upcoming priorities. The team’s offseason conditioning program is set to kick off in the coming weeks, followed by the NFL Draft from April 24-26.
Philadelphia enters the draft with eight picks, including the No. 32 selection in the first round, offering opportunities to bolster their roster.
