The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for a special trip to the White House to visit with President Donald Trump to celebrate their recent Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Head coach Nick Sirianni shared his excitement about the upcoming visit during the NFL’s annual league meetings on Tuesday, highlighting the significance of the occasion.

“I’m really excited to go,” Sirianni said. “What an honor to be able to go to the White House. Teams that have been winning the championship have been doing that for a long time, and I’m really honored to go.”

The Eagles’ commanding 40-22 win against the Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl ended Kansas City’s bid to become the first team in NFL history to secure three consecutive titles. The victory has paved the way for Philadelphia’s return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, scheduled for April 28, following an invitation from former President Donald Trump, who was present at the game.

This White House visit holds particular weight for the Eagles organization. Seven years ago, after their previous Super Bowl triumph, the team skipped the traditional celebration when Trump withdrew their invitation. The decision came after reports surfaced that only a handful of players intended to attend, amid a broader controversy surrounding player protests against racial inequality during the national anthem. This time, however, the Eagles are poised to embrace the moment.

While the team is savoring the achievement, Sirianni made it clear that their focus is shifting toward the future.

“We’re to a point now where the celebration is over,” he noted, outlining the Eagles’ upcoming priorities. The team’s offseason conditioning program is set to kick off in the coming weeks, followed by the NFL Draft from April 24-26.

Philadelphia enters the draft with eight picks, including the No. 32 selection in the first round, offering opportunities to bolster their roster.

The White House visit will take place just two days after the draft concludes, capping off a busy stretch for the organization.

For Sirianni and the Eagles, the trip represents both a reward for their on-field success and a chance to reflect on a milestone that eluded them in years past.
