The Tigers’ journey to San Antonio has been a testament to Pearl’s revitalization of the program.
After claiming the SEC regular season title, Auburn entered the NCAA Tournament with momentum, silencing critics who pointed to their pre-tournament struggles. Meanwhile, their Final Four opponent, Florida, secured the SEC tournament championship, setting the stage for a clash of titans. The two teams met earlier this season on Feb. 8, with Florida prevailing 90-81 in Auburn’s own backyard.
