The Michigan Wolverines were able to win a bowl game this past season, upsetting the Alabama Crimson Tide in the ReliaQuest Bowl. However, it wasn’t really a successful campaign for Michigan overall.
Yes, the Wolverines did beat the Ohio State Buckeyes for the fourth straight season, but overall, they ran into massive offensive struggles throughout the campaign, as quarterback Davis Warren labored and Michigan’s wide receiver production was almost non-existent.
But things seem to be looking up for the Wolverines, as they have an intriguing quarterback battle between Mikey Keene and Bryce Underwood heading into 2025, and they have added a couple of wide outs via the transfer portal. And you know what? Another one could be on the way.
Michigan has offered Campbell wide receiver transfer Sincere Brown, who hauled in 61 receptions for 1,028 yards and 12 touchdowns this past year.
At 6-foot-5, Brown is a towering presence and would absolutely bolster the Wolverines’ receiving corps, which figures to be considerably better next season.
Brown actually began his collegiate career at South Florida in 2020, but didn’t get any playing time before ultimately transferring to Campbell in 2024.
The Charleston, S.C. native has also received offers from Texas A&M, Arkansas and Wake Forest, but Michigan is definitely the most high-profile team to attempt to woo him.
This past year, the Wolverines’ leading wide out was Tyler Morris, who caught 23 passes for 248 yards and a couple of touchdowns. That is obviously not going to cut it for a prestigious program like Michigan.
Brown himself probably wouldn’t solve all of the Wolverines’ issues at the position, but his presence would at least make things more palatable.
