Brooklyn Nets rumors are going to be flying around with the 2024 NBA Draft only hours away. After making two huge moves on Tuesday night, people are curious to see what the franchise will do next.

The headlining grabbing move they made was trading Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks. Brooklyn received an offer they could not refuse, as the return package is highlighted by four unprotected first-round picks from New York.

To sweeten the deal, Brooklyn also received a 2025 first-round pick via the Milwaukee Bucks and an unprotected pick swap in 2028. The Nets also got back a 2025 second-round pick of their own and sent a 2026 second-rounder back to New York.

In their other blockbuster deal, only draft picks were exchanged. The Nets got their first-round pick in 2026 and removed the swap from their 2025 selection with the Houston Rockets from the James Harden deal. It was costly, as Houston received four first-round picks and swaps in return.

The path general manager Sean Marks is embarking on is now clear; the franchise will enter a rebuild. But, the team may not be done wheeling and dealing, as Nets rumors continue to pop up that more trades could be on the horizon.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Brooklyn could make more deals during the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft. Set to start Wednesday night, stockpiling more assets is a possibility.

“The Nets could have more trades for assets on draft day Wednesday, sources said, and those 16 first-round picks could grow if Brooklyn finds a deal for Cam Johnson. The Nets have delivered themselves a full-fledged rebuild, beginning with the Knicks’ unrelenting pursuit to land Bridges on Tuesday,” Wojnarowski wrote.

Cam Johnson was the other key player, along with Bridges, that the Nets received from the Suns in the Kevin Durant blockbuster trade. He could certainly have some value around the NBA as a 3-and-D wing player, which teams covet.
