According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the New York Knicks could trade for Terry Rozier, Malcolm Brogdon or Alec Burks.

The Knicks are targeting an extra ball-handler at the NBA trade deadline.

“The Knicks are doing their due diligence and looking at various players across the league, including Hornets guard Terry Rozier, Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon, former Tom Thibodeau favorite Alec Burks, sources said,” Scotto wrote in his latest NBA trade column.

The Knicks are open to trading Evan Fournier and Quentin Grimes. They already made one trade this season, sending RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the Toronto Raptors for OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn.

Rozier is averaging 24.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks this season for the Charlotte Hornets while shooting 46.1% from the field, 38.3% from beyond the arc and 87.5% from the free-throw line. He’s making $23.2 million.

Brogdon is averaging 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.1 blocks for the Portland Trail Blazers while shooting 43.4% from the field, 41.0% from beyond the arc and 78.0% from the free-throw line. He’s making $22.5 million.

Finally, Burks is averaging 12.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.3 blocks for the Detroit Pistons while shooting 39.4% from the field, 39.6% from beyond the arc and 89.2% from the free-throw line. He’s making $10.5 million. Burks previously played for the Knicks.

New York is 24-17 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
