The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently on the lookout for a new offensive coordinator for the upcoming offseason, and it seems like they’re exploring various options.

Could former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury be the answer they’re searching for?

During an appearance on The Cook & Joe Show, NFL insider Peter King was asked about the possibility of Kingsbury becoming a candidate for the job.

King expressed his interest in the idea and hinted that the Steelers might be considering talking to him, although he refrained from making an official report.

“Right now, he’s talked to the Bears and he’s gonna talk to the Steelers – interesting places. The Bears are a running team. The Steelers are a running team… I’ll tell you this: If he gets one of these jobs, I guarantee you that team will be a running team.”

King emphasized that Kingsbury is committed to using a running game to set up the passing game, regardless of what others may think of his coaching style. This approach could potentially align well with Pittsburgh’s historical dedication to running the ball, dating back to the 1970s.

However, as the Steelers plan for the future, the more immediate concern might be determining their quarterback for the upcoming season. Steelers fans have shown signs of disillusionment with quarterback Kenny Pickett, only two seasons after he was selected as a first-round pick.

It remains to be seen how the Steelers’ coaching staff and roster will shape up in the coming months as they aim to reinvigorate their offense and make crucial decisions regarding their quarterback position.
