Cam Newton, the 34-year-old quarterback who hasn’t graced the NFL since 2021, is leaving the door open for a potential comeback, but there are certain conditions he insists must be met.

Newton shared his top pick for a potential return team during an appearance on “Good Morning Football” when asked by Brandon Marshall.

The former No. 1 overall draft pick and 2015 NFL MVP made it clear that there’s only one team on his radar – the Atlanta Falcons.

“Me having a family now, it’s always been about family, and I don’t see myself leaving Atlanta. So if it’s not Atlanta, I don’t wanna do it.”

This choice carries a sentimental touch as Newton hails from Atlanta and continues to reside in his hometown with his five children.

The prospect of Newton donning the Falcons’ jersey after his illustrious career with the Carolina Panthers, a division rival, adds an intriguing layer of excitement to the idea.

However, it’s essential to note that Newton has been out of action for nearly three years and faced challenges during his last NFL stint, making such a comeback seem improbable.
