The Iowa Hawkeyes are reportedly on the brink of securing a significant transfer through the transfer portal.

According to Pete Nakos of On3.com, Kadyn Proctor, who currently serves as the starting offensive lineman for Alabama, is preparing to depart from Tuscaloosa, and it’s expected that he will commit to the Hawkeyes.

“Already being told by multiple sources Iowa is the early school to watch for former five-star Kadyn Proctor. No surprise there.”

Proctor notably started in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide as a true freshman, primarily at left tackle. It’s worth noting that he initially committed to the University of Iowa before ultimately changing his decision and signing with Alabama.

Having honed his skills at Southeast Polk High School in Iowa, Proctor was a standout recruit, ranking as the No. 9 prospect in the 2023 recruiting class.

If the Hawkeyes manage to secure Proctor’s commitment in Iowa City, it would be a substantial addition to Kirk Ferentz’s offensive lineup. This would be particularly significant given the offensive struggles the team has faced in recent years.

Proctor would bring three seasons of eligibility with him, offering a valuable foundation for the team to build upon.
