Former Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll Speaks Out On Future

Former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, although at the same age as the recently retired Alabama head coach Nick Saban, doesn’t appear to be contemplating retirement anytime soon.

During a recent interview, Carroll emphatically expressed his ongoing enthusiasm for coaching. However, he conceded that he’s uncertain about immediately finding the perfect coaching opportunity.

“I don’t know. I’ve got plenty of energy for it and thought and willingness but I can’t imagine that there’s a place that’s the right one. I don’t know. I’m open to everything but I’m not holding my breath on that.”

It was a rather unexpected move when the Seahawks decided to part ways with Carroll, especially considering their winning record in the previous year and their playoff appearance the year before.

What sets Carroll apart from his similarly-aged counterpart Saban is his statement about his enduring energy. In contrast, the now-former Alabama head coach acknowledged that he has been experiencing a decline in the energy he has maintained for years, which led to his decision to retire.

There seem to be numerous options available for Pete Carroll, both in the NFL and college football, should he decide to pursue coaching opportunities.
