The Oregon Ducks are intensifying their efforts to secure top talent for the future, and a significant addition to their recruitment strategy is about to step onto campus in the coming weeks.

As reported by 247Sports, 5-star quarterback sensation Brady Smigiel, hailing from the class of 2026, is slated to make an unofficial visit to Eugene later this month.

Measuring an imposing 6-foot-5, Smigiel is currently ranked by 247Sports as the 22nd overall prospect in the 2026 class and occupies the prestigious No. 3 spot among quarterbacks. It’s noteworthy that he’s also penciled in for a visit to Notre Dame.

At present, Oregon boasts a robust quarterback lineup, complete with a well-defined succession plan that extends into the foreseeable future.

In 2024, Dillon Gabriel is expected to lead the charge as the starting quarterback for a year, with Dante Moore likely to follow suit in 2025 and possibly even 2026.

Beyond that point, the Ducks have their sights set on 4-star QB commit Akili Smith, and the path forward will unfold as events transpire.
