Kam Alexander, the standout cornerback from UTSA, has officially revealed his destination for the 2024 season. In a social media announcement made on Monday, Alexander declared his commitment to the Oregon Ducks, where he will have one remaining year of eligibility.

Alexander’s journey through Division I football has seen him make notable stops at Sam Houston and UTSA. He initially began his college career at Sam Houston, where he amassed an impressive stat line of 52 total tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions, and 16 pass breakups in 32 appearances.

Notably, he was part of Sam Houston’s FCS Championship-winning team during the spring of 2021. That particular FCS season was moved to the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following his stint at Sam Houston, the Manvel, Texas native transferred to UTSA for the 2023 season. There, he continued to shine, recording 34 tackles, 17 passes defended, one sack, two interceptions, and two tackles for loss for the Roadrunners. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the AAC’s first-team all-conference list.

One of the highlights of Alexander’s time with UTSA was his role as the Defensive MVP in the 2023 Frisco Bowl against Marshall. In that game, he made a significant impact by intercepting a pass and recording a sack.

Standing at 5′ 11″ and weighing 175 pounds, Alexander now becomes a valuable addition to the Oregon Duck’s defense. The Ducks are known for their strong defensive presence, having allowed a PAC-12 low of 222.8 yards per game. Notably, Oregon will embark on its inaugural season as a member of the Big Ten in 2024.
