50 Cent Gets Ripped for Latest Donald Trump Stance

50 Cent, Donald Trump
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s ground-breaking for G-Dome took place Wednesday, June 17. The new dome-style, immersive entertainment venue and green space is located at Spring and Travis, in downtown Shreveport.

Hip-hop radio personality Ebro Darden has voiced strong disapproval of several prominent rappers and producers, including 50 Cent, for booking performances at the Executive Branch, a high-end, members-only club in Washington, D.C., co-owned by Donald Trump Jr.

The club, located in Georgetown and reportedly charging a steep $500,000 annual membership fee, was founded in 2025 by Trump Jr. along with investor Omeed Malik and Christopher Buskirk. It has positioned itself as an elite gathering spot aligned with conservative circles.

According to reports, 50 Cent is scheduled to perform there on July 3, the evening before the U.S. marks its 250th anniversary.

This news has drawn attention partly because 50 Cent has previously distanced himself from overt political events. In 2024, he publicly stated that he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at a Trump rally at Madison Square Garden, citing discomfort with mixing entertainment and politics.

During a recent episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, Darden expressed clear frustration with the decision by 50 Cent and others who have previously appeared at the venue. He specifically called out Ja Rule, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland, noting that these artists, in his view, do not need the financial incentive.

Ebro suggested the performances might stem from a desire for broader business connections and opportunities rather than purely monetary gain.

He acknowledged the pull of “big money” in the industry but highlighted what he sees as a disconnect: many of these artists come from communities that have faced challenges tied to the current political climate. He also took a lighthearted jab at the expected audience, describing it as lacking energy and rhythm.

Other performers linked to the club include Nelly, who reportedly took the stage earlier in the year, and Ja Rule, who hosted an event around a major UFC fight.

This situation adds another layer to ongoing conversations about celebrity involvement in polarized political spaces. While some artists maintain strict separation between their art and politics, others appear more pragmatic about high-paying private gigs.

50 Cent, known for his business acumen beyond music (including ventures like Sire Spirits), has criticized certain political figures in the past but has generally avoided deep alignment with any one side. His upcoming performance at a private club—not a campaign rally—may reflect a distinction he draws between entertainment bookings and political endorsements.

Ebro’s comments reflect a broader debate in hip-hop and entertainment circles about loyalty to cultural roots versus personal and professional advancement in an era where big-money opportunities cross traditional political lines.

As the 250th anniversary celebrations approach, this story underscores how entertainment, wealth, and politics continue to intersect in unexpected ways. Whether more artists will face similar scrutiny remains to be seen.
