Brock Boeser has been the leading goal scorer for the Vancouver Canucks throughout the 2023-24 season. He led the team with 40 goals in the regular season and is pacing them in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs with seven.
Brock Boeser provides the team with ample scoring punch. Unfortunately, they are going to need to find production from someone else on Monday night. Heading into a winner take all Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers, the Canucks are going to be without their leading goal scorer.
As shared by Irfaan Gaffar, the Vancouver Canucks will not have Boeser available. His availability moving forward, should they win the game, is also in question. According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, he is dealing with a blood clot issue.
“The exact timeline for his return is unknown, but several sources stressed this, thankfully, is not considered a life-threatening situation,” Friedman said. (H/T Heavy)
Brock Boeser will not be available for the Canucks in game seven on Monday. If they advance, his status moving forward is unclear.

On Sunday during the Vancouver Canucks’ practice, Brock Boeser was absent along with J.T. Miller and Tyler Myers. While coach Rick Tocchet said that their absences were for maintenance, it turns out that Boeser is dealing with something more serious than some bumps and bruises.
Replacing Boeser’s production will be tough. He has been playing on the top line alongside Miller and Pius Suter. Someone will have to step up in his place. Along with his team-high goals this postseason, he is tied for the team lead with Miller, recording 12 points. He is the second significant injury the team has suffered.
Starting goalie Thatcher Demko, who is a finalist for the Vezina Trophy, has not played since Game 1 of the Vancouver Canucks first-round series against the Nashville Predators. His backup, Casey DeSmith, has also been injured, thrusting third-stringer Arturs Silovs into the lineup between the pipes.
