The Tennessee Titans continue upgrading the weapons around quarterback Will Levis, as they have agreed on a contract with veteran wide receiver Tyler Boyd. The update was provided by NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The Titans make sense as a landing spot for Boyd given the familiarity he has with their new head coach Brian Callahan. Callahan was the offensive coordinator for five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals before being hired by Tennessee this offseason to replace Mike Vrabel as head coach.
In their first year working together, Tyler Boyd had the best season of his career. He caught 90 passes for 1,046 yards and five touchdowns. While his role with the team would eventually change given the additions of Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase, Boyd remained a steady, reliable producer for the team.
Working primarily out of the slot, the 2016 second-round pick finds consistent success working shallow and intermediate routes. He isn’t afraid to mix it up in the running game as a blocker and knows the offense Callahan will be installing.
Tyler Boyd will likely operate out of the slot again for the Tennessee Titans in a remade wide receiver depth chart. After lacking weapons in the passing game for a few years, they are now overflowing with players for Levis to get the ball to.
Earlier in free agency, the Titans also signed Calvin Ridley away from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Veteran DeAndre Hopkins remains on the team, as does 2022 first-round pick Treylon Burks. Chigoziem Okonkwo is a solid option at tight end, while Tony Pollard was added to the backfield to pair with Tyjae Spears.
That is a deep, talented group of skill position players that have been put together by the Tennessee Titans. With their first-round pick being used on Alabama tackle JC Latham as well, they should be improved in the trenches for what is looking like a vastly improved offensive group.
