Fresh from their Super Bowl triumph, the Philadelphia Eagles might be looking to make a high-profile addition to their roster if star wide receiver A.J. Brown has his way.

On the “Kickin’ It With Dee” podcast, Brown expressed his desire to see Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett playing for the Eagles next season.

“I’ll say Myles Garrett,” Brown stated when discussing his dream offseason acquisition. He added, “Adding him with Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith…” pointing out the potential powerhouse combination on the defensive line.

Garrett, a six-time Pro Bowler and last year’s Defensive Player of the Year, has consistently been a force in the NFL. Last season, he tallied 47 tackles, 14 sacks, and 22 tackles for loss. Despite his success, Garrett requested a trade from the Browns earlier this month, seeking to compete “on the biggest stages” and chase championship glory.

The Eagles, as the defending Super Bowl champions, fit Garrett’s aspirations. He noted the allure of Philadelphia shortly after announcing his desire for a trade, calling it “a hell of a destination.”

Adding Garrett to an Eagles defense that led the NFL in 2024 and allowed only 278.4 yards per game (first in the NFL) and 17.7 points allowed per game (second in the NFL) would be a formidable boost. As Brown envisions, a lineup featuring Garrett alongside rising stars like Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith could be a spectacle.

The potential for such a high-caliber move remains uncertain, with the offseason still in its early stages. However, the prospect of Myles Garrett joining the Eagles could significantly enhance their chances of repeating their championship success.

For now, Brown can continue to enjoy the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory before he begins preparing for the next NFL season. He will be relied on to push Philadelphia to a possible repeat.
