As the NFL free agency period approaches, Miami Dolphins safety Jevon Holland appears set to find a new team in 2025, based on his recent remarks on the Breakin’ House Rules podcast.
Holland, a key figure in the Dolphins’ defense, has sensed a shift in how the team portrays him, particularly in social media engagements.
“Transparently, seeing the Dolphins post things like the Valentine’s Day stuff or like any kind of edit and things like that,” Holland said. “You can see guys that may not be here next year or may be somewhere else are just not in it.”
Holland noted his absence from promotional materials, such as a recent Valentine’s Day Instagram post that featured several teammates but not him. “I’m following them on Instagram, right? And I’m not in none of this [expletive] no more. I’m like, ‘OK, they’ve kinda moved on.'”
Despite a drop in performance in 2024, where he earned a career-low 63.0 PFF overall grade, Holland’s contributions to the Dolphins have been significant. Pro Football Focus ranks him third on their top 2025 free agents list.
The Dolphins face a tight salary cap situation, coupled with the need to allocate resources to other areas, such as the offensive line, to protect quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Holland’s high market value is likely a factor in Miami’s decision-making process.
