Stephen Curry’s notable streak of consecutive games with a made 3-pointer in the NBA ended at 268 during the Golden State Warriors’ 118-114 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

Curry struggled with his shooting, missing all 8 of his attempts from beyond the arc and managing only two successful shots out of twelve overall, contributing seven points to the team’s total. This remarkable streak commenced on Dec. 1, 2018, in a game against the Detroit Pistons.

Curry, who holds the record for the most career 3-pointers in the NBA, had reached a milestone of 3,500 3-pointers in his previous game. His last game without a three-pointer in the regular season was dated back to November 8, 2018, against Milwaukee, where he didn’t make any in four attempts. Curry also has the second-longest streak in the NBA at 157 games.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Updates

Warriors coach Steve Kerr emphasized the importance of team effort and not solely relying on Curry for victories. He acknowledged Curry’s off night but highlighted the essence of teamwork, where different players step up to contribute. Kerr pointed out that while Curry has been instrumental in many of their wins, it’s crucial for other team members to offer more support.

“We can’t rely on Steph to bail us out on every single night,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “It was a tough night for him, but that’s what a team is supposed to be about. Everybody filling in for each other, different guys stepping up each night. That’s a great sign, because he’s carried us for long enough this year. We need to give him more help.”

However, this was a rare occurrence as he had previously succeeded in scoring at least one three-pointer in 132 consecutive postseason games, setting another NBA record.
