The 46-year-old host of the Dumb Blonde podcast addressed the split publicly for the first time in a recent episode titled “The Divorce,” which dropped on June 18, shortly after news broke of the rapper’s divorce filing.
In the candid discussion, Bunnie, whose full name is Alisa DeFord, reflected on the challenges she and her husband—real name Jason Bradley DeFord, aged 41—faced in handling conflicts throughout their relationship. She noted that the couple had struggled with effective communication, often suppressing issues rather than confronting them directly, a pattern she described as setting the stage for major problems down the line.
Tensions reached a critical peak on Mother’s Day, when a heated exchange left Bunnie feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Recounting the confrontation, she shared, “I just looked at him and I said, ‘Well, file the f—ing divorce papers.'” She emphasized the significance of those words in their dynamic, stating, “And in our relationship, that is the one cardinal thing that you don’t say, even though my husband has said it numerous times.”
