The Ohio State Buckeyes, ranked No. 1 in the country, improved to 10-0 with a dominant 48-10 victory over UCLA in Week 12. The Bruins were missing their starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava, which made the task easier for an Ohio State defense that continues to suffocate opponents.

Offensively, the Buckeyes were without key wideout Carnell Tate, while freshman sensation Jeremiah Smith was limited to just the first half because of an injury. Even with those absences, Ryan Day’s offense had no trouble moving the ball and pulling away comfortably.

Only Rutgers and Michigan remain on the regular-season schedule, leaving Ohio State two victories away from an undefeated 12-0 campaign and carrying serious momentum into the postseason.

The good news hasn’t been limited to Saturdays. The recruiting wins keep piling up for the Buckeyes.Less than 24 hours after dismantling UCLA, Ohio State secured a flip from four-star 2025 edge rusher Dre Quinn, who backed off his longtime pledge to Clemson and chose the Scarlet and Gray instead.

The hot streak continued Tuesday when the program landed another major commitment for the 2026 class.

As reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals: “BREAKING: Four-Star LB Braxton Rembert has Flipped his Commitment from Wake Forest to Ohio State, he tells me for @rivals. The 6’6 200 LB from Hoschton, GA had been Committed to the Demon Deacons since June.”

Rembert, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound linebacker from Mill Creek High School in Georgia, had been pledged to Wake Forest since early summer. That changed quickly after Ohio State extended an offer in late October. The lengthy, rangy defender wasted little time switching his commitment to the Buckeyes.

Beyond Wake Forest, Rembert held scholarships from programs such as Air Force, South Florida, and Navy, among others.

Interestingly, Mill Creek is the same Georgia powerhouse that produced current Ohio State star safety Caleb Downs, adding another elite talent from that pipeline to Columbus.

A true multi-sport standout, Rembert also competes in basketball and track and field, bringing rare length and athletic upside to an already loaded Buckeyes defense of the future.

With the regular season nearly complete and the recruiting trail on fire, everything is pointing up for Ohio State as it chases both an unbeaten record and another shot at a national championship.
