In a twist of football fate, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen etched his name atop an NFL record book once dominated by Tom Brady, and the seven-time Super Bowl champion was right there on the microphone to witness it.
On Sunday of Week 11 in the 2025 season, Brady, now Fox Sports’ lead analyst alongside play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporter Erin Andrews, was in Chicago describing the Bears’ narrow 19-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
At the same time in Orchard Park, Allen was carving up Brady’s former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in a 44-32 Buffalo rout.
The Bills’ quarterback turned in another signature performance, throwing for 317 yards and three touchdowns on 19-of-30 passing while rushing for 40 yards and three more scores, even though he tossed a pair of interceptions. The six-touchdown explosion pushed Allen to a rare milestone.
With that outing, the eighth-year star out of Wyoming posted his 11th career game (regular season and playoffs combined) in which he threw at least three touchdown passes and ran for at least one more. That total officially moved him past Brady, who finished his legendary 23-year run with 10 such games.

Brady, never confused for a dual-threat quarterback, still reached double digits in this category thanks to his uncanny longevity and late-career willingness to sneak for crucial yards.
His final entry came in his last NFL season in 2022, when he threw for 432 yards and three touchdowns and added a four-yard rushing score in a 30–24 Tampa Bay victory over Carolina.
Now firmly in the broadcast booth, Brady watched the record he held slip away while Allen and the 7-3 Bills continue their push in the AFC.
Buffalo turns around quickly for a Week 12 home date with the Houston Texans, while Brady, Burkhardt, and Andrews travel to AT&T Stadium next Sunday night to call the high-stakes NFC East clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.
