Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter Allan Nascimento, a long-time presence in the UFC’s flyweight division, has died at the age of 34.

Nascimento was found unresponsive Monday after suffering an apparent heart attack while asleep. Despite the efforts of medical personnel who responded to the scene, he was pronounced deceased.

Nascimento had competed in the UFC for years, building a professional record of 22 wins and 7 losses since his debut in 2011.

Standing 5-foot-8 and fighting at 125 pounds, he was known among peers and fans as a beloved figure inside the cage and out.

His final bout took place on June 20 in Las Vegas, where he dropped a split decision to Mitch Raposo at a UFC Fight Night event. That appearance came less than two months before his sudden passing.

Nascimento’s last victory came on Nov. 1, 2025 against Cody Durden.

The news left the mixed martial arts community reeling. Charles Oliveira, the highly ranked lightweight and a longtime friend of Nascimento’s, described the loss in deeply personal terms, saying he had lost a brother who was truly one of a kind and that the pain felt unbearable.

Brazilian middleweight Caio Borralho remembered Nascimento as one of the kindest fighters he had ever encountered, someone polite, full of positive energy, and always in good spirits.

UFC correspondent Evelyn Rodrigues echoed that sentiment, calling him one of the kindest souls she had the privilege of knowing through the sport and offering her own farewell.

In its official statement, the UFC expressed deepest condolences to Nascimento’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during what it called an incredibly difficult time.

The sudden nature of his death, coming so soon after he had last stepped into the octagon, underscored the fragile line that separates competitive intensity from everyday life for athletes at the highest levels of combat sports.

Nascimento’s career and character left a lasting impression on those who knew him, and the tributes that followed reflected both respect for his accomplishments and genuine affection for the person he was.
