Viral Sports News

One of the top wide receiver prospects of his recruiting class, Kojo Antwi, has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal and will be leaving the Ohio State Buckeyes, sparking interest from programs across the country.

The news was announced Wednesday by A&P Sports Agency, signaling Antwi’s departure from Ohio State after three seasons in Columbus.

A Limited Role at Ohio State

Antwi’s time with the Buckeyes featured limited on-field opportunities.

As a true freshman in 2022, he appeared in five games, contributing on offense and special teams. He saw action in just two games during the 2023 season before redshirting.

This year, Antwi made a lone appearance against Western Michigan in Week 2, where he caught one pass for eight yards.

Despite his minimal production with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Antwi’s potential remains undeniable.

A product of Lambert High School in Suwanee, Georgia, Antwi was a four-star recruit and the 19th-ranked wide receiver in the nation coming out of high school. He chose the Buckeyes over powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and USC.

A Stellar High School Career

Antwi’s high school performance showcased his talent and potential.

Over his prep career, he logged 121 receptions for 1,839 yards, scoring 20 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 15.2 yards per catch. His ability to make explosive plays and rack up yards after the catch made him one of the most coveted recruits in his class.

Two Years of Eligibility Remaining

Antwi’s entry into the transfer portal presents an opportunity for him to reboot his college career with two seasons of eligibility remaining. Given his recruiting pedigree and untapped potential, he’s expected to draw significant interest from programs in need of playmakers at wide receiver.

A Fresh Start

For programs seeking a dynamic athlete with experience in a top-tier program, Antwi could be a game-changing addition.

His decision to transfer offers a chance for him to step into a larger role and showcase the skills that made him a top recruit. As the transfer portal heats up, Antwi’s next move will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike.

Wherever he lands, Antwi has the opportunity to make a significant impact and live up to the promise he showed coming out of high school. Stay tuned as his transfer journey unfolds.
