Drew Lock will make his second consecutive start for the New York Giants, head coach Brian Daboll announced Wednesday.

After benching and waiving Daniel Jones earlier this season, Daboll promoted Tommy DeVito to starter for a Week 12 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, DeVito suffered a right forearm injury, which led to Lock starting in last week’s Thanksgiving loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaking at a Wednesday press conference, Daboll confirmed Lock will remain the starter for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

DeVito is “improving” but will be limited in practice. If medically cleared, DeVito will serve as Lock’s backup for the Week 14 matchup.

DeVito completed 21 of 31 passes for 189 yards in his lone start, a 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers. Lock posted similar numbers last week in his first start for the Giants. Against the Cowboys, Lock went 21-of-32 for 178 yards and an interception.

He added a career-high 57 rushing yards, including an eight-yard touchdown run, in the team’s 27-20 defeat.

In his post-game press conference, Lock kept his focus on improvement rather than his potential future starts.

“I’m not thinking about that right now,” Lock said. “I’m going to leave here, get on the plane, and watch tape. See what I could have done better. Learn from it, grow, and if that opportunity comes again, be ready to play. I’ll play better than we did today.”

The Giants enter Sunday’s game with the league’s second-worst passing offense, looking to snap a seven-game losing streak. New York hasn’t won since defeating Lock’s former team, the Seattle Seahawks, in Week 5.

Jones, who led the Giants to that win with 257 passing yards and two touchdowns, is now on the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad.

At 4-8, the Saints remain in the NFC South playoff hunt despite their struggles. The matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium, where the Giants will try to secure their first home win of the season.
