Ravens Get Brutal Playoffs Defensive Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens
NFL Analysis Network

On Thursday, the Baltimore Ravens faced a notable absence during practice, with five players unable to participate, among them Marlon Humphrey.

Humphrey’s absence from practice was attributed to a calf injury sustained during the first half of a recent game against the Miami Dolphins. Despite attempting to test his calf on the sideline during the remainder of the first half, the Ravens chose to adopt a cautious approach and kept him sidelined for the entire second half.

In the lead-up to their divisional game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Humphrey was unable to take part in any of Baltimore’s three practice sessions, ultimately ruling him out for the important matchup due to the persistent nature of his injury.

As the Ravens, who have secured the coveted No. 1 seed in the AFC, prepare for their upcoming games, including one to be held at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, it remains to be seen whether Humphrey will be cleared to participate in either of these crucial practice sessions.

This season, Humphrey has contributed significantly, amassing 26 total tackles and securing one interception over the course of 10 regular-season games.
