In recent years, some NBA teams have had all the success. It feels like they’re candidates to advance to the NBA Finals in any given season. These teams can’t seem to lose.

For a long time, the Golden State Warriors have been one of those teams. They’ve been a dynasty. With that said, the Warriors have fallen on hard times in 2023-24. This team looks mediocre.

By contrast, the Miami Heat haven’t been a dynasty. Still, they’re usually among the league’s most competitive teams. This year has been no exception.

Could a tandem of Green and Bam Adebayo slow down Jokic? We’re not sure – but if they can’t, nobody can. This duo would make up the most versatile defensive frontcourt in the NBA.

The Heat may be seeking a point guard in buyouts if they make this deal. They may find Lowry. The Warriors won’t have any interest in him. With that said, they may have an interest in his expiring contract.

Still, they’re mostly in this for the protected pick. The Heat are not an organization that’s known to rebuild. In all likelihood, this pick will convey. This is a solid asset that should be Green’s market value.
