Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton is no stranger to making NBA history. The 2020 first-round pick out of Iowa State by the Sacramento Kings has developed into one of the best players at his position in the NBA under the watchful eye of head coach Rick Carlisle in Indiana.

Last season, his first full one with the Pacers, Haliburton made his first All-Star game. This season, he has kicked things up a notch and is being mentioned among the MVP candidates in the league, and rightfully so.

Haliburton is having a magnificent season and Thursday night’s victory over the Chicago Bulls was his latest feather in the cap. Chicago had zero answers for him, as he did whatever he wanted against their defense.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Tyrese Haliburton, Chris Paul, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers Updates

Haliburton finished the game with 21 points, 20 assists, two steals and one block in 37 minutes. The most impressive stat was that he didn’t turn the ball over once, putting together one of the most special performances we have ever seen in the NBA.

He joined Chris Paul, who accomplished the feat on December 10th, 2016, as the second player ever to record a 20/20 game with zero assists. Alas, that wasn’t the only NBA history that was made on Thursday.

Since the 3-point line was adopted in the NBA during the 1979-80 season, no player has accomplished a 20/20 game with 5+ 3-pointers made. Doing so with zero turnovers makes it an even more impressive feat and one we may not seen broken for a very long time.

Offense is at an all-time high in the NBA, but Haliburton is still putting up numbers that we have rarely seen in the league. He is a special talent that is helping put the Pacers back on the map and return to relevancy in the Eastern Conference after a few down seasons.

After missing the playoffs in three consecutive years, the Pacers are right back in the mix for a playoff spot this season. Haliburton is a big reason for that as he has this offense humming like a well-oiled machine.
