The Phoenix Suns are set to gain former NBA All-Star guard Bradley Beal back to their lineup in their upcoming game against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.

Beal has been sidelined for over two weeks due to a right ankle sprain, which he sustained after landing on New York Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo’s foot during a 3-point attempt.

This season has seen Beal in action for only six games, as he has been managing a persistent back injury. He’s averaged only 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 25.2 minutes per game.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns Updates

The Suns, who had high expectations for this season, currently hold a 15-15 record, placing them 10th in the Western Conference. This performance is partly attributed to the limited playtime of their star trio – Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker. This trio, formed following Beal’s trade from the Washington Wizards to Phoenix, has only played one game together this season.

With how competitive the Western Conference has been this season, the Suns will surely need to find a rhythm with Beal, Booker, and Durant playing alongside each other to avoid having such a thin margin for error during the season’s stretch run.

The Suns have dealt with various other key sidelined players as of late, including Jusuf Nurkic, who has since returned after dealing with personal matters that resulted in him missing a few games.

Beal will look to regain his previous form from last season when he averaged 23.2 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 50 games with the Wizards.
