The Los Angeles Lakers will hang a banner at Crypto.com Arena to recognize winning the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament in Las Vegas on December 18.

The In-Season Tournament banner will have a different shape and color than the 17 gold NBA championship banners that are in the rafters. There will only be one In-Season Tournament banner that the Lakers will hang.

If Los Angeles wins another In-Season Tournament, future dates will be added to the banner being put up on December 18.

Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be honored for making the In-Season All-Tournament Team. The purple and gold went 7-0 in the tournament and beat the Indiana Pacers in the championship game.

“I don’t think it’s even about the MVP. It’s about us coming together to win this thing,” LeBron told ESPN’s Malika Andrews during the trophy ceremony. “This is the [inaugural] in-season tournament. … Records will be broken, but one thing that will never be broken is to be the first to do something. And we’re the first champions of the in-season tournament, and nobody can ever top that, and it’s great to do it with a historical franchise and just a great cast of funny, engaged, competitive men over here.”

Davis averaged 23.3 points, 14.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.9 blocks while shooting 52.5% from the field in the tournament. He put up 41 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in the championship game against the Pacers.
