Caitlin Clark’s Home Debut Moved Because of Indiana Pacers Win

Basketball fans are patiently awaiting Caitlin Clark to take the court for the first time in her new home city in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever. They will be happy to know that they won’t have to wait as long to see her play.

The Fever, who play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, were scheduled to have their first preseason game of the year against the Atlanta Dream on May 10th. But, they share the arena with the Indiana Pacers of the NBA.

The Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs on Thursday night. They will be playing in a second-round matchup against the No. 2 seed New York Knicks, who defeated the Philadelphia 76ers.

That series is set to start in New York at Madison Square Garden on Monday. Game 2 will be played on Wednesday, with Games 3 and 4 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday and Sunday. Friday’s game was announced to be a 7 p.m. ET start, the same time the Fever were supposed to tip-off.

Because of that, the Indiana Fever have had to move Caitlin Clark’s preseason debut up one night. With the scheduling conflict on May 10th, the game against the Dream will now be played on May 9th.

Fans who have already purchased tickets for May 10th will still be admitted into the game on May 9th. The matchup between the Fever and Dream will also be shown on the WNBA app, per the Associated Press via ESPN.

The first professional game of Caitlin Clark will be tonight when the Indiana Fever travel to take on the Dallas Wings. They will get the regular season underway on May 14th with a visit to the Connecticut Sun. Her first game that counts at home will be on May 16th against the star-studded New York Liberty.
