NBA Insider Provides Update On Milwaukee Bucks Stars For Game 6

The Milwaukee Bucks were able to stave off elimination for at least one more game, picking up a victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5. They are now heading back on the road for Game 6, looking to force a Game 7 over the weekend.

The Bucks received excellent production from Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis last time out, as each player scored 29 points in double-double performances. They will need that kind of production again to keep their season alive.

But, the biggest question facing the Bucks entering Game 6 is the status of their star players, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Antetokounmpo has not played since April 9th because of a calf injury while Lillard missed the last two games against the Pacers with an Achilles issue.

After the Game 5 victory, head coach Doc Rivers revealed that they were getting very close to returning. Both had done some work on the court over the weekend and were going to ramp things up on Wednesday.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, they are both trying their best to get on the court for Game 6. Alas, it is still unclear what their official status will be, as this is trending toward a game-time decision for both players.

Getting either of them back in the lineup would be a huge boost for the Bucks odds of picking up a victory in a must-win game. Oddsmakers seem to believe there is a chance at least one of if not both, Antetokounmpo or Lillard will play, as the spread in the game has shrunk considerably throughout the day.

This will be the top storyline to keep an eye on in the NBA world right up until tip-off. Even if they can play, winning in Indiana will be no small task. This season, the Bucks were 1-4 in the regular season against the Pacers and are 2-3 thus far in the playoffs.
