Report: Nuggets Interested In Trading For Raptors’ Bruce Brown

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Denver Nuggets are interested in acquiring Bruce Brown from the Toronto Raptors.

Brown played for the Nuggets last season and helped the team win the 2023 NBA championship over the Miami Heat.

Brown signed a two-year, $45 million contract with the Indian Pacers last offseason in unrestricted free agency. He’s making $22 million this season. Brown has a club option worth $23 million for next season.

The Pacers traded Brown to the Raptors in the Pascal Siakam deal. Brown is averaging 12.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.3 blocks this season while shooting 47.9% from the floor, 32.1% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the free-throw line.

Brown has been linked to the Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks. The Raptors, who are in rebuild mode after trading Siakam and OG Anunoby, are widely expected to move Brown before the February 8 trade deadline.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Raptors are looking for a first-round pick and quality player in return for Brown, who has career averages of 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks with the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, Nuggets, Pacers and Raptors.

The Nuggets are 30-14 on the season. They are in third place in the Western Conference standings. It will be interesting to see if Denver finds a way to reunite with Brown.
