Suns’ Kevin Durant Calls For 2 College Basketball Changes

NBA superstar Kevin Durant, following his attendance at a game where his alma mater, Texas, triumphed over No. 9 Baylor, voiced his opinions on the future of college basketball, calling for two major changes.

After witnessing the game on a Saturday afternoon, Durant took to social media during the second half to express his desire for significant rule changes in the sport post the 2023-24 season.

His post on the social media platform X, where he stated, “I need to see defensive 3 seconds and 4 quarters in men’s college basketball…asap,” garnered considerable attention and agreement from basketball enthusiasts.

Responses to Durant’s proposal on X indicated widespread support among fans for these changes. One fan echoed Durant’s sentiment, proposing a 28-second shot clock.

At the same time, another believed these adjustments could make men’s college basketball more exciting and modern, remarking that the current state of the game is “pretty boring and archaic in many ways.”
