Pelicans’ Zion Williamson Receives Massive Praise From Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards

Zion Williamson received massive praise from Anthony Edwards after the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves during last night’s NBA action.

Edwards didn’t hold back while praising Williamson.

The Pelicans beat the Timberwolves by a final score of 117-106. Williamson finished with 27 points, four rebounds and six assists in 28 minutes while shooting 11-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Edwards did all he could to lead the Timberwolves to victory. He put up 35 points, four rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes while shooting 11-of-22 overall, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and 9-of-10 from the foul line.

The Pelicans improved to 21-14 on the season, while the Timberwolves dropped to 24-9. New Orleans is in sixth place in the Western Conference standings and Minnesota is in first place.

Williamson has appeared in 29 games for the Pelicans this season. He’s averaging 22.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 58.7% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc and 66.2% from the free-throw line. The two-time All-Star has five double-doubles.

Meanwhile, Edwards has played in 30 games for the Timberwolves. He’s averaging 26.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists while shooting 46.0% from the floor, 38.5% from 3 and 84.5% from the foul line. The one-time All-Star has three double-doubles.

Williamson and Edwards are two of the best young players in the NBA. Once LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry retire, Williamson and Edwards will be among the faces of the league.
