Florida Gators Have Major Shot With 2025 Star Quarterback Prospect

The 2024 college football recruiting cycle is nearly complete, with just a few loose ends to tie up. The class is starting to take shape, and this gives Billy Napier and his Florida Gators the opportunity to look ahead to 2025.

One promising prospect that Florida football has its eye on is four-star quarterback, Antwann Hill, hailing from Robins, Georgia’s Houston County. Standing tall at 6-foot-5 and weighing 215 pounds, Hill is set to attend the program’s junior day event in Gainesville on January 13, as reported by Swamp247.

Hill has visited the Swamp in the past, with one memorable occasion being when he witnessed the Gators upsetting the Tennessee Volunteers in mid-September.

Reflecting on that visit, Hill was impressed by the electric atmosphere and the passionate Florida fans. He said, “That’s one thing about Florida fans, they’re always going to bring the energy. A performance like this means the program is just headed back in the right direction with a big win over the Vols. They came out, had a great game plan, and executed it at a very high level.”

While it’s still early in Hill’s recruitment process, he has attracted the attention of several suitors. In addition to the Florida Gators, he’s considering visits to the LSU Tigers and the Louisville Cardinals. Antwann Hill Sr., his father, emphasized that they are keeping their options open, stating, “He’s wide open right now. Anyone has a shot. We haven’t ruled anybody out.”

The list of potential destinations doesn’t end there, as the elder Hill also mentioned other schools like the Colorado Buffaloes, Memphis Tigers, Auburn Tigers, and Florida State Seminoles.

As of the latest rankings, Hill is ranked No. 66 overall and No. 5 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite, while the On3 industry ranking places him at Nos. 76 and 6, respectively.
