Tom Brady is making it clear that his 10-year deal with Fox Sports is still on track, despite his recent acquisition of a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. The seven-time Super Bowl champion, who signed a massive contract with the network in 2022, was initially at risk of jeopardizing his deal due to the NFL’s general policy prohibiting team owners from working as broadcasters.

However, the NFL granted Brady an exception, allowing him to hold a 5% stake in the Raiders while fulfilling his broadcasting duties. The league imposed conditions on the arrangement, including limiting Brady’s access to production meetings with coaches and players, to prevent potential conflicts of interest or tampering.

Brady’s involvement with the Raiders has raised some eyebrows, particularly regarding his role in the team’s ongoing head coach search. As the team interviewed Detroit Lions coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn for their vacant head coach position, Brady’s comments on the interview process drew attention.

Despite speculation that his ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders might impact his ability to honor his broadcasting commitments, Brady dismissed concerns with a confident response.

“Happily. I’d bite some kneecaps for you, K.B., whatever you need me to do, baby. You’re a great teammate,” Brady said in a light-hearted exchange with Fox Sports’ Kevin Burkhardt, who joked that Brady was stuck with the network for the next decade.

However, when asked directly about the Detroit Lions’ personnel and his involvement in the interviews, Brady chose a diplomatic response, mindful of his position as a minority owner.

“It’s just been a great learning experience,” Brady said. “But you realize the league’s full of great potential.” He added that the league’s focus should be on performance and the work done on the field, echoing the sentiment that players and coaches earn their opportunities based on their actions.

Tom Brady’s ability to juggle both roles has raised eyebrows, but he remains committed to his Fox Sports job, focusing on delivering insightful commentary while respecting the NFL’s policies regarding team ownership and broadcast duties.
