On June 9, as Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce fulfilled his obligations by reporting to the team’s mandatory minicamp, his fiancée Taylor Swift made a memorable appearance at the red carpet event for “Toy Story 5” in Los Angeles. Unable to accompany her to the Dolby Theater, Kelce remained focused on his professional commitments, leaving Swift to enjoy the evening surrounded by family and friends.

The pop superstar arrived alongside two special guests—her father Scott Swift and her mother Andrea Swift. This marked her first red carpet walk since the iHeartRadio Music Awards back in March. Swift turned heads in an elegant white Erdem dress that perfectly captured the celebratory atmosphere of the night.

Just days earlier, on June 5, Swift had unveiled her contribution to the film’s soundtrack with the release of “I Knew It, I Knew You.” The track quickly shattered records, claiming Apple Music’s highest first-day plays for any soundtrack single while also setting a new benchmark as the most-streamed country song in a single day by a female artist on Spotify.

At the premiere, Swift reconnected with several familiar personalities from the entertainment industry. She spent time chatting with “Toy Story 5” cast members including Joan Cusack and Conan O’Brien, creating warm moments amid the excitement. Interestingly, a handful of notable figures from the NFL scene also made appearances, adding another layer of crossover appeal to the event.

One particularly heartfelt highlight involved Swift bringing along her own cherished “Toy Story” VHS tape from childhood. She expressed genuine excitement as composer Randy Newman personally signed it for her. Additional cast members, such as Tom Hanks, added their signatures to the nostalgic item, making the keepsake even more special.

In a delightful surprise for everyone in attendance, Swift joined Randy Newman on stage to perform “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” the beloved song from the original “Toy Story” film. For this performance, she changed into a vibrant yellow dress that added extra charm to the nostalgic moment.

Swift also delivered her first live rendition of the new single “I Knew It, I Knew You,” receiving widespread acclaim from fans across social media platforms who praised both the song and her heartfelt delivery.

NFL analyst Erin Andrews, who has previously vacationed with Kelce and Swift, attended the premiere with her young son Mack. A video capturing Swift’s interaction with the toddler quickly gained traction online. Viewers were charmed by the sight of the 14-time Grammy winner warmly pulling Mack in for a hug and showering him with affection.

During an interview with ET, Tom Hanks shared insights into how Swift’s involvement remained under wraps for much of the production.

“Top secret,” Hanks said. “They didn’t even utter the words ‘Taylor Swift’ to us.”

For Swift, contributing to the “Toy Story” franchise represented a deeply personal full-circle experience.

“Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.”

“Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @randynewmanofficial for the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you’ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.”

The evening underscored Swift’s continued influence across music, film, and popular culture, even as she balances her high-profile relationship and career milestones. Fans eagerly await further developments from both the “Toy Story 5” project and the upcoming NFL season.
