As the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline approaches, the Seattle Seahawks face a familiar dilemma in their passing attack: Jaxon Smith-Njigba continues to dominate, while the rest of the wide-receiver room has yet to provide consistent complementary production.

Through five games, Smith-Njigba has hauled in 37 passes for 583 yards and seven touchdowns, carrying the offense.

Behind him, veteran Cooper Kupp has managed just 11 receptions for 129 yards and one score, and Rashid Shaheed has nine catches for 96 yards without a touchdown.

That gap has prompted discussion about adding a proven second option, with Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy emerging as one name worth monitoring, per Matt Legros of Seahawks Wire.

Jeudy, 27, is not currently producing at a level that screams blockbuster trade. He has recorded only eight receptions for 81 yards and no touchdowns this season as the Browns have leaned more heavily on younger receivers.

His role has diminished noticeably, which helps explain why Cleveland is open to moving him. Yet the recent history offers a clearer picture of his upside.

In 2024, Jeudy earned a Pro Bowl selection after catching 90 passes for a career-high 1,229 yards and four touchdowns. He followed that with 50 receptions for 602 yards and two scores in 2025.

He is also under a three-year, $52.5 million extension originally signed with the Browns, meaning any acquiring team would gain more than a short-term rental if a change of scenery can help restore some of that earlier production.

Legro has highlighted Jeudy as a potential buy-low target who could bring more reliable output opposite Smith-Njigba.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz has reported that Cleveland is willing to deal Jeudy and is seeking a pick in the early third- to fourth-round range, though Schultz has expressed doubt that the Browns will actually receive that compensation.

Other valuations are more modest. Bleacher Report’s trade big board projected Jeudy at a conditional 2027 fifth-round pick, a price that would make the idea far more palatable for a team like Seattle.

The logic of the fit is straightforward. Seattle already has an established No. 1 receiver and has not seen another wideout surpass 130 receiving yards through five games.

Adding a former 1,200-yard pass-catcher could provide the kind of secondary threat that forces defenses to respect more than one option downfield. The risk, however, centers on cost and recent form. Surrendering a Day 2 selection for a player with 81 yards this season would represent an aggressive bet on a rebound.

If Cleveland softens its asking price closer to a later-round pick, the move becomes easier to justify as a calculated deadline swing rather than a major investment.

Whether the Seahawks pursue that path will depend on how the next few weeks unfold and how firmly the Browns stick to their current valuation.
