Despite the downturn, evaluators around the league continue to see value in Duran’s combination of speed and power. His 2024 performance remains fresh enough that clubs believe he can still help a contending roster in a variety of roles, even if he never fully returns to that peak. That residual belief has kept a market alive, though it is far smaller than the one that would have existed a year earlier.
