Now that the Philadelphia 76ers have been eliminated by the New York Knicks, rumors are already starting to fly about what’s next for the team.

It was a very entertaining series between the Knicks and the 76ers, as all of the games were tight and exciting. However, the 76ers have once again suffered an early exit in the playoffs and it feels change has to happen.

With Tobias Harris coming off the books, the 76ers are going to be looking to use that money to add a third-star player to pair with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Recently, Brian Windhorst spoke about three players the 76ers are expected to pursue.

With a projected $60 million in cap space, the 76ers are going to be a desirable destination for free agents, as they can provide them with a competitive roster and money. Of the three players, one of them is familiar with Philadelphia and that is Jimmy Butler.

Butler played with Philadelphia briefly but was eventually traded to the Miami Heat, as the 76ers valued signing Harris over him. However, could a reunion be in the works if Miami isn’t able to lure another star to Miami to pair with Butler?

In addition to Butler, another veteran name being mentioned is Paul George. George’s time with the Los Angeles Clippers has certainly been a disappointment after he was paired with Kawhi Leonard, as injuries have limited what that duo could have accomplished.

Arguably the most intriguing name mentioned is Brandon Ingram. Unlike the other two, Ingram is still considered to be a young player in the league and while the 76ers have a window to win now with Embiid, Maxey is still very young and could be a cornerstone player for years to come.

With a lot of cap space and two very good players already on the team, keep an eye on Philadelphia to make a major move this offseason.
