The Green Bay Packers appeared to hold a solid advantage in their matchup against the Chicago Bears, leading 3-0 as the first half neared its conclusion.

Tension escalated when quarterback Jordan Love exited the game with 8:21 remaining in the second quarter. He absorbed a significant helmet-to-helmet collision delivered by Bears defensive end Austin Booker.

The second-year defender received a 15-yard penalty for roughing the passer. Analysts expect the league to issue a fine to Booker in the coming days.

Medical staff first assessed Love inside the sideline blue tent. He was then escorted to the locker room for additional tests.

The team later confirmed that Love had entered the concussion protocol.

“QB Jordan Love is being evaluated for a concussion. His return is questionable,” the Packers shared on X.

Prior to departing, Love had connected on 8 of his 13 passing attempts for 77 yards. He also contributed seven rushing yards on two carries.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped in to replace the injured starter. Willis efficiently directed the offense, advancing from Green Bay’s own 32-yard line deep into Bears territory.

The drive concluded at Chicago’s 4-yard line, setting up kicker Brandon McManus for a short attempt. He successfully converted a 22-yard field goal, extending the Packers’ lead to 6-0 with 1:41 remaining before halftime.

The game has highlighted the physical nature of the rivalry, with both teams battling intensely in the early stages. The injury to Love cast a shadow over Green Bay’s otherwise promising performance.

More information is sure to become available soon, but things don’t look good for Love after the rough hit.
